Natural & Lifestyle Newborn
In these sessions we focus on creating precious family memories in a loving and natural way. We can capture all of those beautiful snuggles with your newest little one on my cozy boho couch setup and standing in my Rolleston studio, or we can do a Lifestyle session in your own home. Individual portraits of your newborn on my posing stand are also included in both packages, along with tiny detail photos of their cute little features that change so much as they grow.
These sessions are ideally done within the first 5-21 days of life if you would like to capture your little one's earliest days earthside, though they are also perfect for babies up to 16 weeks who are often a bit more alert with the most gorgeous curious wide eyes. I completely understand that bubs don’t always arrive when expected, so when booking in these sessions we’ll tentatively pencil in a date around a week or two after your little one is due and we can adjust the date as needed if they arrive early or late.
I am only able to take a limited number of newborn sessions each month, I recommend getting in touch early in your second trimester to avoid missing out. If you're a little further along in your pregnancy or bub has already arrived, feel free to still get in touch to check my availability.

Let me know which package you would like to book, who will be included in the session and your approximate due date, or if bub has already arrived, how many days/weeks they are currently. I'll be in touch within 48 hours to discuss available dates and details.
Once all the details for your session are confirmed, I will send through a contract to sign and I require a $100 non-refundable deposit to secure your booking, with the remaining balance to be paid prior to your session taking place.
You will receive a detailed client guide with all the tips, recommendations and things to keep in mind while preparing for your session.
Roughly 4-6 weeks after your session takes place, you will receive a link to your online gallery with all of your edited photos to choose from. Additional images can be purchased for $14.99 each, or if you love all of them you can purchase the full edited gallery for $150.

Where is your studio located?
My in-home studio is located in Faringdon, Rolleston, and it is available Tuesday-Saturday between 10am-4pm.
How will we receive our photos?
Once your edited images are complete, you will receive an email with a link to your private client gallery from which you can select your favourites to download. You will also have the opportunity to purchase additional digital images - or the entire edited gallery! - on top of the allocated number that is included with your session package, along with fine art prints and beautiful canvases.
Can we purchase all of the unedited images that were not included in our client gallery?
No, unedited images are not available to purchase. While I do take a number of photos during our session, I do not show or provide the unedited images as they are incomplete and do not reflect the high standard of work I provide. I spend a great deal of time carefully selecting and editing the images for your gallery that I believe you will absolutely love, while removing any with eyes closed, unflattering angles and a large number duplicates.

How long do the natural & lifestyle newborn sessions take?
These sessions take up to two hours, which allows plenty of time for feeding and settling bub as needed.
When we have sessions that include siblings, we will often do the family and sibling section first. This means that once their part is all done, the siblings can take a wee break with dad or another family member down at the local park or shops while we focus on the individual newborn photos.
Are props included?
Creative prop setups aren't included in the natural or lifestyle newborn sessions. However, if you have a special item such as baby's first toy or an heirloom blanket feel free to bring it along.
